More Sketchbook drawings

I'm really starting to get a handle on how to shade with these pen drawings.

moleskine drawings

Some old moleskine ink drawings, done after the drawings from the last post.

Materials:
Used kuratake manga ink for most of the drawings. Some sakura pigma micro 05 or 005. Also used kuratake brush pen with platinum carbon ink.

One interesting note is that my white pen, uniball signo, dissolved the manga ink.

Also discovered that platinum carbon ink would come off when erasing a good bit when erasing on the moleskine paper. I used this to create a mid tone in some of the drawings.

Refs:
All references were collected off the internet. Some from lookbook, some from the free people site, some from who knows where.

old lookbook lineart

My initial attempts at pen ink drawings, done close to a year ago. I think I was using a staedler calligraphy pigment liner. Most of the photo refs came from lookbook.nu. I unfortunately don't have links to the originals.
